About me
Lauren Wise is an editor, publishing strategist, and award-winning writer with 20+ years in journalism and book publishing. Her work has appeared in publications such as VICE and LA Weekly. For 11 years she's worked with She Writes Press as associate publisher, project editor, and operations manager. As an advocate for independent publishing, Lauren has served on the PubWest Board of Directors, IBPA’s Access Committee, and been an Editorial Judge for the IBPA Book Awards. In 2025 Lauren unveiled her company Midnight Editors, an editing and publishing strategy partner for authors. She lives in Arizona with her family, a growing vinyl collection, and the belief that every great story can connect, inspire and endure.
