About me
I am Kayla (she/her) and I would love to chat about editorial work and books in translation. Books are items of culture and love. They deserve to be given the same attention and care in the editorial process, especially when sharing across language barriers. It brings me great joy to cultivate the next project of passionate authors.
I am currently one of the Acquisitions Managers at Ooligan Press, a student-run trade press in the Pacific Northwest. I have had the unique position to guide and develop our Spring 2027 sustainability guide in collaboration with Book Industry Study Group and their Sustainability Working Group. In addition to nonfiction titles, I have also helped acquire multiple fiction titles.
