I’m a writer, editor, and adjunct professor of creative writing, and I’m excited to pour my thirty-plus years of experience in these areas into Big Bear Press, together with my husband, Jimmy.
In addition to my work as editor, I've published numerous short stories and articles as well as two novels under a pen name. I've also ghostwritten a celebrity chef cookbook. (I spent nearly ten years as a pastry chef, food writer, and cookbook editor, but that’s a story for another day.)
I currently write a weekly Substack—Ink and Sugar—where I discuss writing, editing, and publishing and answer questions from students and readers. I'm an active member of ITS and MWA.
